Wednesday was a doozy of a day! We started it all out with a lesson in evaluating fantasy and realism in stories. We used our evaluations to make inferences. We had the pleasure of listening to Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, and we used this story to model how to evaluate which parts of the story are realistic and which parts are fantasy. We then got into groups and collaborated on a project. We evaluated the story Heatwave! and looked for parts of the story that are realistic and parts that are pure fantasy. We wrote these onto poster paper (pics tomorrow).
After recess, we headed into math and learned about prime and composite numbers:
After math, we filled out our assignment notbooks and did
....benchmarks. Boo.
When we got back from lunch, we had library time, did some R.T.S., and
learned about how animals need plants to survive in science.
That's Wednesday folks! Cheers!
