Friday Blitz

Howdy do folks!

Friday was indeed a doozy as we started the day off rereading the story Heat Wave! and then taking an assessment on the story. We also took an assessment on fantasy and realism. Afterwards we had Project Cornerstone and discussed the meaning of sympathy and empathy.

When we came back from recess, we got down with our chapter 9 assessment, which focused on division:

One student using the algorithm to get to the quotient.
Once math was done we finished the last leg of the benchmarks! Yay! We also spent this time to work on speeches and timelines for our biography project or any other "Must Dos" we needed to complete.
"Yes! One more question to the benchmark and I'll be done!"

"Hey! Stop you paparazzi! I'm trying to finish my writing!"

Two students discussing the major accomplishments of Babe Ruth.
Right before lunch we took our spelling test, which dealt with words ending in -ed and -ing, and then eading back from lunch, we had a little R.T.S.

Two buddies reading with one another.

Before the day ended, we talked about pollination and how it happens:

And that's Friday folks! Cheers!
