We started out this grand Monday, reading where we left off at in Cricket in Times Square. We talked about pagoda inspired cages (It comes up in the book). We then utilized our critical thinking, collaborating, and communicating skills to come up with a summary for the chapter:

We then headed to the cafeteria to practice or singing chops in preparation for the winter concert next week:
After recess, we reviewed concepts of fractions for the assessment tomorrow:
After math, we filled out our assignment notebook, and then read another chapter of Cricket in Times Square. We talked about what a souffle was, and then we got into shoulder partners so we could summarize the chapter that we read. We shared the summary to the class afterwards.

After lunch, most students did some R.T.S., while some completed the science assessment from lost week and others worked on their biography speech. We then discussed and were shown examples of a two-word poem. heading back from afternoon recess, we brainstormed topics for our two-word poems and begin a rough draft:
