We started the day out with some street hockey action in P.E.!
coming back from P.E., we read the latter half of Wildfires in collaborative groups, and in these groups we took turns reading and summarizing parts of this non-fiction story. We also looked for picked apart paragraphs in the story to look for the main idea and the supporting details:

And at the end of the day we learned how the missionaries coerced the Native Americans to the missions. We also learned the hardships that the Native Americans had to endure while forced to live in the missions.
