This week we've been focusing on working on our historical fiction writing in which the setting is during the Gold Rush period. We also discussed how CA became a state, the Compromise of 1850, and conflicts between ethnics groups during that time. We also had a discussion on slavery in 1800's, and the abolishing of slavery.
