Bada Bing, Bada Boom.

Howdy folks! It's another great day to learn! In reading, students utilized 21st Century Skills such as Communication, Collaboration, and Creativity by creating posters that dealt with story structure and problem/solution!

In math we solved word problems by creating organized lists. The problems were definitely challenging, and required a deeper level of problem solving and critical thinking. I modeled how to create lists, did some Highly Structured Practice with students, and set them off in groups to figure out a word problem on their own by making a list. Here is a link. How about another one? BAM! These additional resources will help your child if he/she needs extra reinforcement on how how to utilize this strategy.

We had an assembly today about Los Alamitos Lions' P.R.I.D.E. and how show P.R.I.D.E throughtout the school day and outside the school. We will talking more about P.R.I.D.E later on this week.
