Tuesday!

Hi there folks!

Today was another bum rush of district assessments, the focus being English Language Arts. I decided to split up this particular assessment up a few days because it has 75 PROBLEMS. Yikes. Again, I'm hoping this will be it for district assessments for a while (crossing my fingers!)

The students did get a chance to complete their "All About Me" Final Draft!

In the afternoon, we were able to squeeze in Social Studies! Yippee! We talked mostly about latitude and longitude, and hopefully tomorrow can get started on California resources!

I'm a map of the world! Click on me to play a game and learn more about latitude and longitude!
After Social Studies, we all went to the computer lab to take our AR STAR Reading Test to see what our reading levels are! You should get a parent letter in your child's homework folder; it gives you information on how to access your child's scores and progress at home. The same letter will be presented to you during Back-To-School-Night.

Speaking of which, I do hope to see all you at Back-To-School-Night this evening! It starts at 6:15 in the cafeteria, and my doors will open at 7:05.

I think that just about does it. Tomorrow we should be back on track and delving full-force into reading Finding the Titanic, rounding whole numbers, and understanding how to conserve California's resources!

One last thing: Here's an example of tonight's spelling homework:

Hope the remainder of your day is excellent! Cheers!
