Mid-week Getdown!

Howdy Folks!

Today was another awesome day in C-2! We started the day out with a bit of P.E. with the ever popular Mr. Wood! When the student came back in, they got down with a little grammar review, which was understanding compound sentences, and then got creative with their freewrites!

Some students didn't know what a conjunction was, so......

It then got a little gritty as we dove back into the next part of the English/Language Arts Benchmark. We're close to the finish line with the first trimester benchmarks! Whoo hoo!

After recess, we learned a bit o' Math, focusing in on rounding numbers. Rounding can be a tricky concept, so we actually spent a nice chunk of time going over this concept. I also pulled a group to the back for additional support. Please review rounding with your child!

Near the end of the day, we reviewed compound sentences; students began creating mini posters that explained what a compound sentence is and showed examples, which students created on their own. Pictures on these posters will be happening tomorrow, for sure!
