Got down with some assessments today! We first started the day out listening to Tanya's Reunion, so that we could could prepare for the quiz. We also had a little Project Cornerstone session that dealt with creating a physical and mental shield to help us in cases of great stress or pressure:
After recess, we got down with math, using our prior knowledge to multiply greater numbers by 1-digit numbers. We then utilized what we knew during board work and independent practice.
Before lunch, we went to the computer lab, and using the Kidspiration application, created food chains and food webs!
After lunch, we completed the Tanya's Reunion assessment, and did some Read to Self. We also completed an assessment dealing with making inferences as well as take a spelling test.
F.Y.I., there's a science test on ecosystems next week! Speaking of ecosystems, check out our terrarium!
We got a bunch of snails, a few worms, and one or two roly polys in there! We could use some more roly polys and worms in order to keep the ecosystem in this terrarium balanced!
