Today we continued our understanding of making generalizations; we read another "story before the story," titled What's for Dinner, which is an article about the foods that pioneers ate while traveling on the Oregon Trail. We did some highly structured practice wherein we wrote down a model of the generalization flow chart, and then we were guided as to how to look for details in the article to make a generalization for our flow chart. Here's what we got so far:
We're going to continue making generalizations tomorrow independently as well as in collaborative groups .
We then had music with Ms. Ramona, which was was awesome! We continued to work on and hone our scat singing skills:
After recess, we went over our concepts in multiplication and reviewed in preparation for the math test tomorrow.
After lunch, we had some Read to Self, and then created our cinquan poems:
