Portabello Mushrooms Are a Good Substitute!

Hi there folks!

Not too bad for the beginning of the week! We started out with a freewrite:

And then we went over the various concepts of story structure such as plot, setting, characters. Tomorrow we will be reading and dissecting the story structure of Sing to the Stars to find the characters, the settings, and the plot.

We then spent the remainder of time before recess with the laptop cart. We went over how to properly handle and use the laptop, and had a go with the Dreambox and Lexia software that the district has bestowed upon us.

After recess, we reviewed algebra concepts that we've been going over for the past week in preparation for the topic assessment tomorrow.

We then did a spelling pre-test after math; our words this week follows the VCCV spelling pattern. We had some time to read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and then continued or response-to-literature writing.

After lunch, we had some R.T.S and spent the remainder of the time working on our C.A. regions poster. At the end of the day, we had some time for a few more freewrites:
