Sour Skittles

Hi there folks!

Happy Tuesday everyone! We started out the day with a freewrite! Here's what some students wrote:

We then had a little discussion on the civil rights movement of the 1960's and how it affected America and its citizens.


We then began to read the first half of Happy Birthday Dr. King! and found situations in the story that had a cause and effect. It was pretty cool. We also went over our vocabulary words of the week, and did a practice spelling test.

Coming back from recess, we had a delved into the wonderful world of algebraic equations. Today we focused on seeing if two algebraic equations are equal. We also worked on equations with missing numbers:
 



After lunch, some of us had R.T.S. while others were pulled for a mini-review on estimating sums and differences of decimals.

Near the end of the day we had time to finish up our "resolutions" writing as well as continue to work our regions poster.
