Today we got into a bevy of good stuff! We first started out with a freewrite:
You open the fridge to make some scrambled eggs. You take out the container of eggs and notice a funny looking egg. The funny egg starts to shake, and then crack. Write a story about what happens next.

After the freewrite, we got down with Grandfather's Journey; we read the first half of the story, and discussed the author's viewpoint, while making inferences and predictions.

After recess, we came back a focused on using the distributive property to multiply factors of 3,4,6,7, and 8.
When we came back from lunch we did Read to Self, and then we started our science unit. This unit will be focusing on earth sciences, and today we delved into understanding what minerals are.
