Today was a pretty awesome Thursday if I do say so myself! We started it off with a brainstorm of our favorite places in California. Some chose Disneyland; others chose Tahoe; and there was one who decided on Los Alamitos! Anyways, a few of us turned this brain storm into an outline, and hopefully tomorrow, we'll be staring our rough draft!
We then partook in a little P.E. with Mr. Wood, and when we came back we learned about subjects and predicates!
We then worked on our Foldables to illustrate our understanding of subject and predicate!
After recess, we used pictures and models to understand the concept of division! After math, we filled out our assignment notebook, and continued on our outlines for our "Favorite Places in California" writing.
When we came back from lunch, we had science lab with Mrs. Daly. We were introduced to the topic of ecosystems! And guess what?! Mr. Nguyen made a mistake when teaching the lesson on minerals a few days back! He was supposed to be teaching ecosystems! Yikes. Well, we got back on track today and learned a bit more about what a producer is and how producers are important to an ecosystem.
And here's Tim and Moby to frontload some more ecosystem tidbits for your understanding:
| "Click on us! We know lots about ecosystems!" |
Near the end of the day, Zach wanted to share his story that he wrote for homework last night, so I let him:
And here for your listening pleasure is Grandfather's Journey
That's Thursday in a nutshell for you ladies and gents! Cheers!
