Wednesday What?!

Howdy there folks!

Today was a grand Wednesday chock full of deliciousness with every bite! We started the day out doing a bit o' P.E. with Mr. Wood, and then when we got back we began our final draft for our expository writing! Here are a few finished products:

After recess, we got down with math; we applied problem solving strategies and were able to find, and continue, patterns in the word "conundrums" that were in the textbook. We then filled out our assignment notebook, and continued to work on our final drafts.

After lunch, we headed to the library, chose a few books, and went back to class for some Read to Self. We also read the latter half of Grandfather's Journey. When we came back from afternoon recess, we got into collaborative groups and used our 21st Century skills to look for the author's viewpoint in the Grandfather's Journey.

Near the end of the day, we got a chance to share minerals:

And we looked at and discussed where this tooth came from! Here's a hint: It came from the jaws of our California staet fossil!
