Mid-Week Getdown!

Happy Wednesday folks!

We started the day out with P.E. and then did some Social Studies. We focused on natural resources that are found in California. We then utilized our knowledge of California's resources to make a poster:

In math, we dealt with adding whole numbers; students were relieved that it wasn't more estimating!

"The Study Jams are you again with another episode on math!
Click on us to get the lowdown on adding whole numbers!"
Today was also our first day at the school library! Whoo hoo! I've been trying to expand my library to include audio books, comic book/graphic novels, and non-fiction books as a way to entice more readers. Let me know if you have any info or could donate these reading materials. I'd appreciate it!

Speaking of audio books, here's an audio version of Finding the Titanic, which I'm sure your child will find as a good resource when reviewing for the comprehension quiz!

One more thing, before I head out: On my classroom page, you'll find study questions that pertain to Finding the Titanic. It's there to help your child out, if he/she needs any additional resources in order to get ready for the upcoming quiz. That's about it folks! Can't wait for tomorrow! It's going to be a good one! Cheers!
